Program Outcomes

The tourism industry is one of the largest and fastest growing industries in the world.  With the effects of globalization and the disappearance of cultural and business boundaries travel is no longer just a luxury but a necessity for many people. Thus, today tourism management has become one the most desired sectors in the market. Besides becoming the desired sector, the tourism industry is in need of well educated and multilingual graduates. Alanya HEP University, while focussing on the importance and growth of the tourism industry works to provide graduates of Tourism Management with the required qualifications and competencies. Accordingly, upon successful completion of our program students will;

Program Outcomes
1)Have an understanding of basic concepts, principles, and theories within the context of business and economics
2) Have knowledge about the tourism industry, its structure and its role in the Turkish economy and to be knowledgeable and have the ability to use the industries core concepts
3) Be able to identify and analyze systems of different companies in the tourism industry
4) Understand and apply occupational laws, regulations, and professional standards related to the tourism sector
5) Comprehend, at an undergraduate level, the functions of business administration (management, human recourses, manufacturing, marketing, accounting, and finance) and effectively apply these core functions in daily work life especially in the tourism industry.
6) Be knowledgeable about the history and culture of the world
7) Understand and be well informed about the principles and revolutions of Atatürk and fundamental principles of the Turkish Republic.
8) Be able to address the tourism sector with a systematic point of view and be able analytical use modeling analysis.
9) Have the ability to analyze and comment on supply, demand, cost, pricing and be aware of current issues in the tourism industry
10) Have competence about modeling problems encountered in business life and be able to propose solutions, achieve to optimum conclusions and evaluate pricing matters.
11) Demonstrate effective use of both basic and professional information, communication technologies and software.   
12) Communicate effectively verbally, non-verbally and in a written manner and demonstrate effective presentation skills
13) Be able to think analytically, collect systematic data in potential research and have the skills to analyze, describe and report data
14) To be conscious of professional and ethical responsibilities
15) To be conscious about sustainability
16) Be competent in accordance to acting independently and taking initiative
17) Have the capability to do team work in disciplinary and interdisciplinary areas
18) Have a command of core knowledge and terminology of tourism industry and business administration
19) Demonstrate reading, listening, speaking and writing skills in English
20) Demonstrate reading, listening, speaking and writing skills in a second language except English
